In 2021, we provided over $1 million in grants to 45 women and gender nonconforming documentary filmmakers based in 10 countries.

We hired 2 new staff members to build internal capacity and expand our programs.

6 international, advanced-career filmmakers received funding and mentorship as recipients of the Chicken & Egg Award.

10 documentaries by first- and second-time directors participated in the (Egg)celerator Lab; filmmakers pitched their projects at Sheffield Doc/Fest to an audience of 400+.

Through Project:Hatched, 12 social issue films were awarded grants and mentorship and embarked on ambitious impact campaigns. Project: Hatched will launch as an open call in December!
